We left our under-construction McCloud home in mid-November, and were distressed to see 'free-range cattle' on the roads
nearby as we left.
We could only hope they wouldn't find the pond .
BUT WE FEAR THEY DID!
Events kept us from returning until New Year's Eve.
When we awoke the next morning, we were distressed
to find a 'hole' in the snow where the pond should of been:

If any of you have experience with "Free-Range Cattle" PLEASE share with us. Although we live NEAR the National Forest,
our property does NOT border it at all and in fact the Klamath/Mt. Shasta National Forest is about 2 miles away! HELP!!!
We will not be able to 'prove' that it was the cattle that did the damage until the snow melts - and we had the most snow
this January in 40 years - ~12 feet!! But, our next door neighbor confirms that at least one cow was on his property in the week or
two after we left in November. Snow didn't fall until December 2nd.
