On our way up to spend Christmas with my Mother in Yreka, we took a side trip in to see our lot in the snow.
Everything was so beautiful!
Here are some shots taken on my new digital camera.
I apologize for their fairly large size, but it would be A LOT of work to
individually downsize all of them. Enjoy!

Heading on into Mt. Shasta Forest (Hwy 89 to Pilgrim Creek Rd):
The plowed road in, thru our windshield!
Trying to see Shasta from Snowline!
As far as we made it (without chains/cable) up
Echo!
We got 1/2 way between the driveway to our lower 'camping' lot and the
driveway to our upper
'cabinsite' lot. Then the wheels started spinning, so we backed up ~20 ft.,
parked, got out and went exploring...
Dave climbing up the ~10' snowbank
to view the driveway into our upper lot!

Looking across from our snowbank to the Ruge's
lot!
Please pardon the snow on the lens! - It was DIFFICULT to climb up that
bank and I thought I'd protected the camera, but not well enuf!

Brian Marshall's COMPLETED cabin!!
Looking in the front door window of Brian's cabin to see his completed kitchen!!
Walking back down Echo!!
Where's the van???????????
Yikes!!
We found the van where it had slid into the bank about 40' below where we
had left it!!
About 30 mins later we had the van, which we were
unable to drive
forward or backwards 1/2 way turned around!!
There is no pix of it as we finally got it turned around: it was almost
dark, and we just wanted to head
back down (yes, we had cables along, no, we didn't use them!)
It was almost dark as we drove down Echo (near Cascade Circle with the Conley's lot to our left here)!!...photo by headlights!
It was so pretty and so quiet.
All's well that ends well!
Mt. Shasta the next day from my Mom's in
Yreka!!
We may not keep this on the Internet for long, but feel free to
copy any of the images.
